On Labor Day, we took a small trip to the hot springs in
Thermop. Danielle and Susan joined us and Amy & Addie met us for a picnic lunch. We had a great time, except for that mom and Carson came down with colds.
Cade even enjoyed the warm water.

Our
doggie for a day.

On Monday evening we were on our front porch enjoying the weather, when this beautiful yellow lab stumbled upon us. He was quite timid at first, didn't have a collar, and was completely lost. So after a few treats and an hour of playing fetch he became our friend.

Carson and Brock became quite attached...
as the pup showed great manners and quite a lot of training.
He was very sweet and great with kids.
Brock also reported that we had found him to the radio station and no one has called...

However, on Tuesday afternoon, he escaped through the open garage door after many walks (without a leash) that day...and never to be found despite Brock and Carson's persevering search efforts. So, we are going to visit the pound tonight.
If you have seen "our" dog, please call! ;)

You've had lots of excitement at your house from the hot springs, to a short visit from what appeared to be a very well fed pup, and family reuinion (did Carson get a new hair cut?). Will the pictures of Brock's knee surgery be forthcoming?
Thanks for the pictures. Grandma D loves them.
Aft your pictures made me laugh so hard. The ones of C man with the dog are adorable. Looks like a nice 'pup', I'm sure some owner was really missing him. Call me when you can. I've got another game tomorrow evening but will be free until around 2:30 our time. 12:30 your time. :-) Not sure how that will work with naps but we'll catch up one of these days. xoxo MISS YOU ALL!
You know me and my love for dogs. I can just imagine how after a day you all were attached. A dog that shows patience with children is a keeper (and a hunting dog, too). Did you find him at the pound?
