A New Friend is Born!!

Jordan Paul Gilbertson was born yesterday afternoon. He weighed 8lb 4oz and was nearly 22" long. He is a beautiful little bundle with lots of soft, dark blond hair. Jordan's parents are beaming. Carson was so excited to meet his new little friend that he was up in the night asking me when it would be time! :)

A Blessing

I am so excited to report that my principal has given me the okay to work 3/5 time for the remainder of the school year. I will work all day on Thursdays and from 11-3 the other days. I feel very blessed to work at a school where family time is valued. It will be so wonderful to get to spend the mornings with our little man again. He, however, loves his babysitter Allison and is adjusting wonderfully.

Aftann's Birthday Weekend

My grandparents, Howard and Mary Kay Romsa came up to visit us. I think they came for my birthday, but it actually may have been to see Carson. :)

All Good Things Must Come to an End

Well, I knew that the day was coming, I just never thought it would come so fast. On the 10th I must return to work after a 14 week maternity leave. It is equally hard to believe that Carson is 3 months old. Where has the time gone? Carson will be staying with next door neighbor Allison Adams, who will provide the most loving care, I am certain. As of his last doctor apt he now weighs 15 lbs 10 oz. We feel so blessed to have a healthy, happy, sleeping 8 hrs at a time at night, talkative baby. I know I have said this before, but it is really amazing how much you can love someone. I heard the other day, that not until you have your own children can you understand the love your parents had for you. Wow, I never though of it in those terms. Thanks mom and dad!!
