Merry Christmas 2007
Merry Christmas from our family to yours. We have so much to be thankful this year. Since I directed many of you to our blog in our Christmas card, I thought this would be the easiest way to recap our year.
I recruited Brock to join me in teaching at Arapahoe School this year. He has taken on the assignment of middle school math, which continues to challenge every part of his being. He has also done some coaching and enjoyed several days of hunting deer, antelope and coyotes. I am currently on my 12 week maternity leave from my technology teaching. I love my job and continue to be thankful for the people I work with. I am also continuing to work toward my Master's degree and am currently half done.
As far as other happenings in our lives, we celebrated our first year of marriage and yes, we're still in love! We completed many more house and yard projects, spent lots of time golfing, and took several trips to Laramie to watch Angie's last season as a Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball player. My grandpa Harold Hellbaum passed away last March, so we lost a grandparent and created new ones. Which leads to our biggest news, the arrival of our baby boy, Carson Taylor, two weeks ago today.
We can't even imagine being more blessed than we are right now...and look forward to what 2008 holds. We hope to see you soon and pray that your lives are full of happiness.
All the Best,
Brock, Aftann, & Carson Kisling

No news is good news...
Just as an update...if nothing has happened by December 4th we are scheduled to be induced. It will be exciting to see what this week holds.
Angie completed her tenure with the Wyoming Volleyball team on Thursday with a hard fought loss to UNLV in LasVegas at the Mountain West Tourney. According to Ang, "It was a time full of emotions". Luckily, she had her six faithful fans, Mom, Dad, Holly, Eric, Fred, and Becky to usher her out in style.

Angie...
I was able to go to Laramie and watch my #1 sister, Ang, play one last time...it's hard for me to believe that she's been at it for four years. Not hard for her to believe, however. She has played with such perseverance, heart, and focus. It has been an honor to cheer for an all around girl and athlete.
Brock's mom, Susan, and sister, Amy came with me on my day trip. (We were super fans!)
Nate and I have always wondered what happened to our verticals, I think we may have an idea of where they might have gone!?!?! Good luck in your last few games and tourney in Las Vegas!

One Year of Blogging History
(Brock, the tedious pumpkin carver, artfully crafted two out of the three, can you guess which one is mine?) Hope you all are having a happy fall! We will be sure to post any "big news" as it happens.
Our Nursery is Now Only Missing One Small Thing....
As of this moment, we are 23 days away from "D-day" and of course we are both nervous and extremely excited. Brock has done a beautiful job on the wood work in our nursery. I have had my long-term sub come in this week to shadow me and learn the ropes. She is doing a fabulous job so far. I am thrilled to be leaving my new program in great hands. Our 36 week appointment is tomorrow to see how much longer... I can definitely tell that "things" have started to shift. (Just because I have been asked...we are registered at www.walmart.com)

School Year 07-08 is Upon Us
Just as an update...we started school again on Aug. 13 and the kids came the 20th. And by "we" I mean it, Brock has taken the assignment of the MS Math teacher at Arapahoe and I'm working in my technology gig. Needless to say, he has his work cut out for him and I am enjoying my freedoms and less stress. Our school never ceases to amaze me, as our Superintendent told me today, "Imagine a school in absolute distress, and then multiply that by 10". We are in a world of hurt from poor record keeping from past administration and directors, poor technology upkeep, and people flat not doing their jobs. However, we now have a great Superintendent who is giving it an honest effort, who realizes the issues, and is willing to take a stand and get things headed in the right direction. I'm motivated by anyone who has a passion to do the right thing. Luckily, our school is filled with many outstanding people and that I why I go everyday. (Brock is still wondering what he has gotten himself into.) The kids are needy...who said we needed to go overseas to find a mission and serve? We have cultures in distress HERE!
Brock is helping coach cross country and preparing for his next big hunt. I am starting my new semester of master's classes and preparing for the baby. (He is due November 30th.) Life is good.
