where has the summer gone?

Well, can't believe the summer is nearly over and we are back into our routine. Brock returned to school on the 11th and his students arrive on the 23rd. I've been watching some of my friends' kids these past two weeks.

I've also had a few weeks off from my classes with the goal to update the blog. Well, class starts again Monday and I still haven't posted anything. Ugh!!! So, here is my basic attempt...poorly paying tribute to our wonderful summer together.

Some of our highlights since last post:

• The Berg's came for a visit!
• Lake trips with both sides of our extended families.
• Time spent with our families.
• Another trip to the farm.
• No emergency room visits!!!
• Spending time with our little friends Ella, Jonah and Bryshawn.
• Brock is getting settled into a new school.
• We got a swing set to add to our backyard playground.
• I ran a 5K in 25 min. 3 sec. (my summer goal was 27 min.) :)
